FABER in HAMMERSMITH is looking for a Sous Chef to join our ever growing team.
Faber is a 2 AA Rosette, British, coastal inspired restaurant in the heart of West London.
We have a strong focus on fresh, creative cooking and personality focussed service.
We are open to chefs of any skill level applying - we are after the right fit for the team. We will train extensively if required. Faber is expanding and has a number of summer projects on, so we're happy to bring in more experienced chefs. The salary will fluctuate dependent on experience.
All we ask is that you're curious, passionate and fanatical.
The restaurant specialises in using the finest seafood caught on the British coastline in order to create a unique and beautiful dining experience. The recently renovated building has made a statement in the Hammersmith restaurant scene.
We have already won 2 AA rosettes and two other restaurant awards in our first year and a half trading.
We are striving for excellence and want chefs of all levels to come on board that are eager to really get involved, cook exemplary dishes using the highest quality ingredients and help get Faber noticed in the hospitality world. We're looking to enrich our team with our next chef super stars.
We are an independent business with a small, but experienced team who have been working together for a long time. So you will have lots of support and experience surrounding you.
Our focus is on serving the best fish & shellfish that we can source from our suppliers across Britain.
This means that we can always have a fresh and seasonal menu that is constantly changing, but never too big.

Responsibilities
You will be working with the head chef Ollie Bass on a day to day basis. No one works more than 45 hours. We want you to be fresh and look forward to coming to work. The successful applicant will;
- Have previous kitchen experience in a busy, food led environment
- An understanding of fish prep and seafood is a must with enthusiasm and passion to build on knowledge
- Be able to cook & prepare a variety of dishes according to kitchen recipes
- Have the ability to deliver high standards consistently
- Have great communication and organisation skills
- Have the ability to closely work with the foh team
- Have high standards of health and hygiene
- Be a great team player
