This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual who wants to progress from light vehicle maintenance into the heavy vehicle sector. You will earn while you train and complete a Level 3 HGV Technician qualification at the end of the programme.
The Opportunity
We are recruiting a Trainee HGV Technician to join a respected commercial vehicle workshop in Stoke-on-Trent. This role is ideal for someone who is already Level 3 qualified in Light Vehicle Maintenance and is looking to develop their career within the HGV industry.
You will work alongside experienced technicians, gain hands-on experience, and follow a structured training plan designed to build your skills across all areas of heavy vehicle maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out routine servicing and basic maintenance on HGVs under supervision
- Assisting senior technicians with diagnostics, repairs, and inspections
- Learning to work with air brakes, suspension systems, hydraulics, and electrical systems
- Completing all training modules required for the Level 3 HGV qualification
- Maintaining workshop standards, safety procedures, and accurate job documentation

Requirements
- Level 3 Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair qualification (essential)

- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
- Full UK driving licence preferred
