Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary experience, and a dedication to delivering exceptional food quality. This role involves overseeing food preparation, managing kitchen operations, and ensuring compliance with food safety standards. The Chef will play a pivotal role in creating innovative menus and maintaining high standards of service within our hospitality environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficient food production and service delivery
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards
- Oversee food safety procedures, ensuring compliance with health regulations and hygiene standards
- Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and minimise waste to optimise kitchen operations
- Develop new menu items, incorporating seasonal ingredients and current culinary trends
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team environment
- Coordinate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service during busy periods
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area at all times
- Monitor quality control throughout the food preparation process to uphold brand standards
Experience
- Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen environment
- Extensive food production and culinary experience, including cooking at a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Strong team management skills with the ability to lead diverse groups of staff effectively
- Solid background in food preparation, serving, and maintaining high standards of food safety
- Experience in hospitality or restaurant operations is highly desirable
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and develop team members
- Familiarity with current culinary trends and innovative menu development is advantageous
