Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable General Cleaner to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene across various commercial premises. Prior experience and knowledge of commercial cleaning practices are advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided.
Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of public areas including washrooms, and communal spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment and products.
- Ensure all surfaces are sanitised, floors are swept and mopped, and waste is disposed of correctly.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Restock supplies such as toilet paper, hand towels, and cleaning materials as needed.
- Report any maintenance issues or hazards to management promptly.
- Follow organisational procedures to ensure the safety and security of the premises during cleaning activities.
Skills
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning is desirable but not mandatory; training will be provided for suitable candidates.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work efficiently and thoroughly.
- Good organisational skills to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and lifting cleaning supplies.
- Reliable with a strong work ethic and punctuality.
Hours
- 7.30am - 12.30am or 9.30am - 2.30pm
- 5 days over 7, including some weekend work
Pay: £12.71 per hour
