Job Title: 7.5t Home Delivery Driver
Hiring Company: DHL (Working on behalf of Argos)
Work Location: DHL Supply Chain, Marsh Leys Business Park, Woburn Road, Bedford, MK43 9AB
Job Role:
- Completing multi-drop Home Deliveries into customers' homes
- Working as part of a 2-person crew (either alongside an experienced drivers mate, or another driver)
- Delivering a range of bulky household goods (White Goods up to 80kg, furniture, electricals etc.)
- Completing typically between 35-45 deliveries per shift
- Providing excellent Customer Service – being friendly when delivering, calling ahead to customers etc.
Requirements for the role:
- C1 driving license entitlement (7.5t)
- Valid CPC & Digi Tacho card
- No more than 6 penalty points (No DD/IN driving offences)
- Physically fit – Lifting aids will be provided along with manual handling training, however the role will require you to lift heavy goods up flights of stairs and into customers' homes.
- Friendly, polite nature – you will be the face of the business!
Shift Times & Pay Rates:
- 0600 start time
- Shift length will vary as the position is “Job & Knock” – Meaning that you finish whenever the deliveries are completed
- Average shift length will be around 10-12 hours
Shift Pattern
- Sunday till Thursday 06:00 am
The position is on a “temp-perm” contract, meaning that you will work for Magnus Search to begin with before being offered a full-time contract with DHL after 12 weeks of working.
Initial Pay Rate: £15.63 per hour - OT £18.24 After 48 hours
Full-Time Salary: £36+ OTE pa
Bank holiday rate: £19.54
