The Quay Zone Phase 2 is almost complete and we will have a newly refurbished and extended area of our building which encompasses our new Cafe, Soft Play, Outdoor Terrace & Upper viewing deck.
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Cafe Team Members to join our vibrant team. These full and part time roles offer an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where customer service and quality food preparation are at the forefront. The ideal candidates will be passionate about delivering excellent service, maintaining high standards of food safety, and creating a welcoming atmosphere for all customers. Previous experience in a café or food service setting is essential as preparation, cooking and baking will be required. These positions are perfect for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and thrive on teamwork.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold food items, home baking, beverages and specialised drinks, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Assist customers with their orders in a friendly and professional manner, providing excellent customer service.
- Handle food preparation tasks such as making soup, sandwiches, salads, and other light snacks according to health and safety standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the café area, including cleaning equipment, tables, and work surfaces regularly.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations at all times, including proper storage of ingredients and correct handling procedures.
- Manage cash register operations accurately.
- Stock replenishment and ordering.
Experience
- Previous cooking and food preparation experience is essential.
- Knowledge of food safety standards is beneficial to uphold hygiene practices within the café environment.
- Basic maths skills are essential for handling transactions accurately.
- Strong organisational skills and effective time management are important to ensure tasks are completed efficiently during busy periods.
