The Job:
We are recruiting experienced Service Technicians and Agricultural Machinery Engineers for a leading agricultural machinery business in New Zealand.
Starting in October 2026, this seasonal contract offers the opportunity to gain international experience while working with modern agricultural machinery across workshop and field-based environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair agricultural machinery faults
- Carry out servicing, maintenance, and preventative repairs
- Complete workshop repairs and machinery rebuilds
- Attend on-farm breakdowns and provide field service support
- Build strong relationships with farming customers
- Ensure machinery remains operational during key seasonal periods
- Work safely and professionally at all times
The Company
A highly respected agricultural machinery service provider supporting farming businesses across a major agricultural region of New Zealand. The business has an excellent reputation for technical expertise, customer service, and supporting modern agricultural equipment.
The Candidate:
- Agricultural Machinery Technician, Agricultural Engineer, Service Technician, or Diesel Mechanic background
- Proven experience servicing and repairing agricultural machinery
- Strong diagnostic, mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical skills
- Able to work independently and manage workloads effectively
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Full driving licence
- Experience working on John Deere machinery highly desirable
UK agricultural engineers are actively encouraged to apply.
Candidates must either hold the right to work in New Zealand or be eligible to obtain a suitable work visa. Visa support can be provided for suitable applicants.
The Package:
- $40.00-$45.00 per hour DOE
- 4-6 month seasonal contract
- Start date: October 2026
- Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm
- Overtime available during peak periods
- Company service vehicle provided
- Accommodation assistance available
- Visa support for suitable candidates

- Located approximately 1.5 hours from Queenstown

Candidate Requirements
All applicants must hold a minimum of an NVQ Level 2, Scottish NVQ Level 2, or an equivalent qualification relevant to the role applied for. Candidates must also have the legal right to work in the UK or hold a valid visa permitting employment.
