The role: Bradford Children and Families Trust is seeking a Recruitment Officer to provide end-to-end recruitment support across the organisation. Working closely with hiring managers and candidates, you will help deliver an efficient, professional and inclusive recruitment service, ensuring a positive candidate experience while supporting the Trust's commitment to attracting and retaining talented people. You will manage recruitment administration, advertising campaigns, candidate communications, onboarding activities and pre-employment checks whilst maintaining accurate recruitment data and records.
Key accountabilities:
- Support the full recruitment lifecycle from vacancy approval through to onboarding.
- Create and manage recruitment advertising campaigns across relevant platforms.
- Coordinate shortlisting and interview processes with hiring managers.
- Conduct and monitor pre-employment checks, including references, right to work and DBS checks where required.
- Maintain accurate records within recruitment and applicant tracking systems.
- Provide guidance and support to candidates and recruiting managers.
- Produce recruitment reports and maintain data accuracy.
- Support recruitment events, careers fairs and outreach activities.
- Work with internal departments including HR, Payroll and IT to ensure a seamless onboarding process.
- Identify opportunities to improve recruitment processes and candidate experience.
- Ensure compliance with GDPR, safer recruitment practices and Trust policies.
Requirements/key criteria:
Essential:
- Experience within recruitment, HR administration or a similar administrative environment.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Customer-focused approach with strong attention to detail.
- Experience working with Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience using recruitment systems, ATS platforms or databases.
- Knowledge of recruitment best practice, employment law and EDI principles.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships.
Desirable:
- Public sector recruitment experience.
- Experience recruiting for specialist or hard-to-fill vacancies.
- Knowledge of safer recruitment practices.
- Experience with recruitment reporting and data analysis.
- Exposure to both agency and in-house recruitment.
- CIPD Level 3 qualification or equivalent.
