We're looking for a passionate and motivated Sous Chef to join the kitchen team at Bert's Brandesburton.
As Sous Chef, you'll work closely with our Head Chef to deliver consistently high quality food while helping to lead, train and develop the kitchen team. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in maintaining excellent standards.
What you'll be doing:
- Supporting the Head Chef with the day to day running of the kitchen
- Leading the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence
- Preparing and serving fresh, high-quality food to our standards
- Training, coaching and motivating the kitchen team
- Maintaining high standards of food safety, cleanliness and organisation
- Assisting with stock control, ordering and reducing waste
- Helping to create a positive, supportive kitchen culture
We're looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience as a Sous Chef or an experienced Chef ready to step up
- Is passionate about fresh food and great service
- Leads by example with a positive attitude
- Stays calm under pressure and enjoys a busy service
- Takes pride in developing others and building a strong team
- Has excellent knowledge of food hygiene and kitchen operations
