Plant Fitter / Mechanic

Location: Chorley, Lancashire
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8am until 5pm (plus additional overtime as and when required).
Job Type: Permanent
Salary: Rate negotiable, dependant on experience.
ABS Brymar Floors Ltd are a UK Leading Industrial Concrete Floor Specialist and we are looking for a plant fitter/mechanic to join our team.
This hands-on role will require you to:
- Carry out maintenance and repair on our own plant, machinery and small tools.
- Identify fault and take the correct course of action to rectify any issues on the above.
- Put together detailed and informative maintenance reports.
- Check over plant that has come back from site and prepare so that it is ready to be used on the next site.
- Communicate with the Warehouse Manager with regards to any matters which that arise with regards to plant and machinery, any parts/items which need ordering etc.
- Have good general communication skills with other members of the company.
- Work as part of a team and cover other staff members duties when needed but also work alone with the use of your own initiative.
- Work to deadlines and have good timekeeping skills.
- Follow H&S regulations and complete additional training when/if needed.
Essential Qualifications:
Desirable Qualifications (but not essential):
- Previous employment in a similar role
- Fork Lift Truck Licence.
