Are you an experienced Deputy Manager or Team Leader looking to progress in your career? Phoenix Lodge Coventry Limited is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced candidate to join our committed team in Coventry, working within our adult mental health supported living environment. You must hold a Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care, with the willingness to work towards a Level 5 qualification.
This is a full-time role, requiring active participation in the on-call Rota. As Deputy Manager, you will play a vital part in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the service, supporting the Manager, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centered care for our residents.
- Supervise and mentor support staff, fostering a positive and supportive working culture
- Assist in developing, implementing, and reviewing individual support plans tailored to each resident’s needs
- Promote and maintain safeguarding and health & safety standards within the service
- Help coordinate staff rotes, including participation in the on-call Rota to provide leadership and guidance outside normal hours
- Build strong relationships with tenants, families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and best practice in adult mental health and supported living
- Support the Manager with administrative tasks, audits, and preparing reports
- Contribute to ongoing service improvements and staff training initiatives
- Handle challenging situations with empathy, professionalism, and resilience
- Full-time position based in Coventry
- Competitive salary dependent on experience
- Relevant experience in adult mental health and supported living essential
- Strong leadership, organisational, communication and written skills required, with flexibility and the ability to step in at short notice
- Confident and capable of taking responsibility for the day-to-day running of the service in the Manager’s absence
