Primary Teaching Assistant – Southampton
We are currently looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Primary Teaching Assistants to work across a range of mainstream and SEN primary school settings in Southampton. Full-time opportunities are available, although part-time applicants will also be considered.
This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children’s learning and development within positive and engaging school environments.
The role may involve:
- Supporting children on a 1:1 basis and within small groups
- Assisting the class teacher with daily classroom activities
- Supporting students with additional needs within mainstream and SEN settings
- Encouraging positive behaviour and classroom engagement
- Supporting children with literacy, numeracy, and social development
- Helping to create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience working with children in educational, childcare, or support settings
- Holds relevant qualifications or training related to education or childcare
- Has a positive, bubbly, and approachable personality
- Is proactive, reliable, and happy to get stuck in
- Can build strong relationships with students and staff
- Is passionate about helping children achieve their full potential
