Job Description:
Are you a caring, reliable and compassionate person looking for a rewarding role where you can make a real difference every day?
Solsken Ltd is currently recruiting Female Personal Assistants in Newark NG24, Nottinghamshire to join our friendly and professional care team. This is a fantastic opportunity to support an individual with a spinal cord injury in the comfort of their own home, helping them to live safely, comfortably and as independently as possible.
Please note: We are not currently offering sponsorship opportunities.
Due to the nature of the role, including personal care, this position is open to female applicants only. This is considered an occupational requirement.
About the Role
You will be supporting an individual with a spinal cord injury who is paraplegic and requires complex care support within their own home. This is a person-centred role that involves supporting all aspects of daily living, including personal care, safe moving and handling, meal preparation, household routines, companionship, and support to access meaningful activities both at home and within the community.
As part of the role, applicants must be confident preparing everyday meals in line with the individual’s preferences, including traditional English meals. Guidance will be provided around the individual’s dietary needs, likes and dislikes.
The individual has a large, friendly dog in the home, so applicants must be comfortable working in a household with a large dog.
For applicants wishing to work day shifts, a full UK driving licence is required, as the individual has a mobility vehicle and enjoys being supported to access activities and opportunities within the community.
