This is a newly created hands-on role with the opportunity for a driven and capable individual to play a key role in the development of team members and the business. This role balances between accounting and business duties by providing a diverse range of work, and opportunities for further training and development. Blending technical expertise with an advisory approach to work with clients and team members throughout the year.

Key Responsibilities
- Reviewing and finalising statutory accounts for Ltd companies, sole traders, and partnerships
- Finalising corporation tax computations and returns
- Finalising personal computations and returns
- Reviewing VAT Returns
- Managing a small number of internal audits
- Good communication with team members, clients and suppliers
- Support the MD with systems development, reviewing and improve processes – for both the clients and the business
- Managing digital and physical systems and processes
- Managing team members
- Risk and Compliance – enforcing company polices and risk assessments – Health and Safety and HR
- Assisting with the onboarding of new employees, inductions and training
- Working closely with the MD to ensure smooth and efficient delivery of client services
Skills/Qualifications
- AAT Level 4 qualified is essential
- Solid background in a rounded accounting role, practice experience essential
- Progressive mindset — interested in advisory, not just compliance
- Experience mentoring junior members of the team and managing workloads
- IT literate, experience with Xero and Excel ideal
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to manage your workload effectively and work to deadlines

Pay: £32,000.00-£36,500.00 per year
