Overview
We are seeking a skilled Flexi/Bendi truck operator to join our warehouse team. The successful candidate will be responsible for efficiently handling materials, operating specialised forklift equipment, and supporting the overall logistics operations. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with warehouse experience and mechanical aptitude to contribute to a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Candidates must be organised, safety-conscious, and capable of heavy lifting.
Duties
- Operate Flexi/Bendi forklifts to load, unload, and transport goods within the warehouse
- Manage stock movement
- Assist with shipping and receiving processes, ensuring accurate documentation and handling of materials
- Perform routine equipment inspections and basic repairs or troubleshooting as needed
- Handle materials carefully, ensuring proper stacking and storage in accordance with safety standards
- Support warehouse organisation by maintaining clean and orderly work areas
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational targets and deadlines
- Assist in inventory counts and stock replenishment activities
Skills
- Proven experience operating Flexi/Bendi forklifts
- Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control procedures
- Experience in materials handling, load & unload operations, and shipping & receiving processes
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently over extended periods
- Basic maths skills for inventory counting and documentation accuracy
- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Warehouse experience is highly desirable, with a focus on safety compliance and efficiency
This role requires a dedicated individual who is physically fit, safety-conscious, and eager to contribute to a well-organised warehouse operation. Candidates with relevant forklift qualifications or certifications will be preferred.
Pay: £12.71 per hour
