Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly management accounts and supporting reports.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Produce variance analysis and performance reporting.
- Prepare month-end journals, accruals, and prepayments.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate variances.
- Support cash flow reporting and forecasting.
- Preparation, review and submission of VAT returns within Quickbooks, ensuring compliance with HMRC requirements.
- Maintaining accurate VAT records and reconciliations across multiple entities.
- Manage company payroll and pension contributions on a monthly basis.
- Partner with operational teams to provide financial insight.
- Assist with end of year accounts preparation and other statutory compliance.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost control.
- Mentor and support the development of less senior members of the team.
- Various ad-hoc reporting as required by the business.
About you
- Qualified Accountant (AAT, CIMA or equivalent) or QBE with relevant skills and experience.
- Minimum 2 years post-qualification accountancy experience.
- Strong understanding of management accounting principles.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Advanced experience using Quickbooks online.
- Knowledge of finance factoring an advantage.
- Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
- Able to work accurately and effectively to deadlines.

Salary: £35k FTE- pro-rata basis.
Pay: £18,668.00 per year
