Paint & Body Specialist – Classic Jaguar Restoration
Eagle E-Types are internationally recognised as the world leaders in the restoration and re-engineering of the iconic Jaguar E-Type. Established for over 40 years, we continue to enjoy a full order book and a reputation for producing some of the finest E-Types in the world.
Working from a beautiful rural setting in the UK, our small and highly experienced team operates from exceptionally clean, fully equipped workshop facilities with heating and air conditioning, providing an outstanding working environment focused on quality, craftsmanship, and attention to detail.
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Paint & Body Specialist to join our passionate and friendly restoration team. This role is ideally suited to someone who takes genuine pride in producing meticulous, high-quality work and who enjoys the satisfaction of seeing a restoration completed to the very highest standards.
The Role
The successful applicant will be involved in all aspects of paint and body preparation required for the full restoration of bodyshells and associated components. Duties will include:
- Extensive sanding and preparation work
- Priming, sealing, and paint application
- Flatting and polishing to concours-level finishes
- General body shop and restoration tasks
- Operating hand tools, power tools, and workshop equipment safely and effectively
- Maintaining exceptional attention to detail throughout every stage of the restoration process
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment
- Collaborating closely with the wider restoration team to meet project timelines and quality standards
- Assisting with additional restoration tasks where required
Many of our restorations are highly detailed, long-duration projects that demand patience, consistency, and sustained concentration over extended periods. We are looking for someone who values quality and understands the importance of precision in every task.
What We’re Looking For
- An experienced automotive painter
- Proven ability to produce high-quality paint and body finishes
- Excellent attention to detail and workmanship
- Strong mechanical understanding relevant to classic vehicle restoration
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and workshop equipment
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn and adapt to our specialist restoration methods
- Ability to work independently and as part of a close-knit team
- Someone dependable, enthusiastic, and motivated by producing exceptional results
- Good communication skills and professional standards
Experience working on classic vehicles, particularly Jaguar E-Type models or similar high-end restorations, would be highly advantageous.
Successful applicants must also be open-minded and willing to work with processes and techniques that may differ from previous experience in order to meet our exacting standards.
