The Opportunity
A well-regarded South West law firm with a strong reputation for providing practical, commercially focused advice is looking to appoint a Senior Associate (5+ years PQE) to join its Agriculture & Land team.
This team is widely recognised for its work across the rural sector, advising farmers, landowners, estates and rural businesses. The role offers the chance to work on high-quality matters, develop long-term client relationships and contribute to the continued growth of a busy and established practice.
The Role
You will advise on a broad range of agricultural and rural property matters, including:
- Sales and acquisitions of farms, estates and rural land
- Agricultural tenancies
- Rural development and diversification projects
- Agricultural finance and security work
- Supporting clients with succession planning in collaboration with colleagues across other teams
You will manage your own caseload while working closely with colleagues across the firm to provide joined-up advice. The role also offers the opportunity to mentor junior team members and contribute to the ongoing development of the practice.
About You
To be successful in this role you will have:
- At least 5 years’ PQE in agricultural, rural property or commercial property law (more experienced candidates are welcome to apply)
- Strong technical knowledge of property transactions
- A genuine interest in rural and agricultural matters
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills
- The ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Commercial awareness and a proactive, solutions-focused approach
- An interest in mentoring and supporting junior colleagues
