We’re looking for a diligent Financial Promotions professional to join our team, supporting the review and approval of client-facing communications across the business. This role plays a critical part in ensuring all marketing and promotional activity is compliant with FCA and ASA requirements, aligns with Consumer Duty expectations, and protects the organisation from regulatory and reputational risk. You’ll work closely with a wide range of stakeholders, applying technical knowledge and good judgement to deliver high-quality, compliant outcomes. - Reviewing and approving a wide range of financial promotions, including advertising campaigns, website content, emails, brochures and event materials
- Ensuring all communications are clear, fair, not misleading and aligned with FCA, ASA and relevant regulatory standards
- Providing constructive challenge and influencing stakeholders to amend content where required, clearly explaining regulatory rationale
- Applying strong technical knowledge of financial products and services to ensure accuracy and appropriate representation
- Identifying and mitigating risks, including ensuring non-approved business interests are not promoted
- Keeping up to date with regulatory, legislative and industry developments, including Consumer Duty and greenwashing requirements
- Ensuring all materials meet branding, governance and disclosure standards, including GDPR and copyright considerations
- Collaborating with colleagues to maintain consistency and high-quality standards across all approvals
We’re looking for a proactive and confident individual with experience in financial promotions or a compliance-focused role, who can expertly make decisions and influence stakeholders. You will bring a strong understanding of regulatory requirements alongside the ability to communicate complex information clearly and effectively. This role suits someone who is detail-driven, commercially aware and motivated to deliver positive customer outcomes while managing risk.
- Previous experience within a Financial Promotions, Compliance or related regulatory role
- Strong understanding of FCA rules (particularly financial promotions) and regulated financial products
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to challenge and influence effectively
- Ability to make sound, independent decisions with strong attention to detail and risk awareness
- Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning (completed or in progress)
- Knowledge of St. James’s Place products, services and/or Partnership model
