At Skylight Transport, we are extremely passionate about what we do. We are a growing logistics company that provides contracted courier delivery services. We partner with national distribution companies supporting their dispatch process from collection to delivery.
We are recruiting delivery drivers for one of our clients who operate a SAME DAY delivery operation.
This is a Self-Employed Job (we can assist in setting up your Self-Employed profile - no worries). A fantastic competitive day rate which is paid weekly. No previous experience required and full training provided. This Client requires Electric Vans only. No van, no problem, as one of our Van Hire partners can rent a van to you (£220 per week van hire). Van owners welcome (Electric Vans only).
Day Rate Wages - We pay you 4 fees
- 1 - Small Wheel Base Van / 8-hour route daily: £110 + 20% VAT = £132
- 2 - Daily Vehicle Allowance (we pay to you): £35 + 20% VAT = £42
- 3 - Daily Mileage Allowance: 30p per business delivery mile
4 - Daily Performance Bonus / Scorecard Payment:
- Failing: £0
- Poor: £0
- Moderate: £3 + 20% VAT = £3.60
- Good: £5 + 20% VAT = £6
- Excellent: £7.50 + 20% VAT = £9
Total Wages:
- Standard Daily Payment before mileage and performance bonus: £145 + 20% VAT = £174
- Maximum Daily Payment before mileage, if Excellent scorecard is achieved: £152.50 + 20% VAT = £183
Note: VAT is only added if you are VAT registered and provide valid VAT details.

Requirements for Delivery Driver
- Electric Van use ONLY - Hire from our van hire partners
- Anyone with over 6 points on their driving licence, is not eligible., Maximum 6 points, No IN, DG, DR codes.
- We also accept owner drivers, but they must have courier insurance together with Goods in Transit (25k) and Public liability (5 Million).

Responsibilities for Delivery Driver
- Safely and efficiently transport goods and products to designated locations
- Load and unload delivery vehicle
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries
- Inspect and maintain delivery vehicles to ensure they are in proper working order
- Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations while operating the delivery vehicle
