At DDM Health, we build digital health products that make a real difference in people’s lives. Our clinically validated platforms help healthcare providers and organisations deliver better support to local communities at scale.
We’re a growing, mission-driven team focused on building reliable, accessible, and impactful health technology. While we may not compete with the biggest tech salaries, we offer meaningful work, flexibility, and the opportunity to shape products used by real people every day.
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Psychotherapist to join our Specialist Weight Management Service on a remote, sessional basis. This is a clinical role with a clear therapeutic focus: you will deliver individual and/or group psychotherapy to service users engaged in our specialist weight management programme who present with emotional eating, binge eating disorder (BED), or related difficulties.
You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team (MDT) that includes dietitians, health coaches, behaviour change practitioners, and medical staff. The psychotherapy pathway sits within a broader weight management offer, and your work will be integral to achieving meaningful, sustained outcomes for our service users.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Delivery
- Deliver individual psychotherapy sessions (remote, via video platform) to service users on the specialist weight management pathway who are experiencing emotional eating, binge eating, or disordered eating behaviours
- Assess and formulate service users' psychological needs in the context of their weight management journey, using an appropriate therapeutic model (e.g. CBT, DBT-informed, ACT, CFT or integrative approaches)
- Deliver structured group therapy or psychoeducation sessions focused on emotional eating and binge eating, where required
- Collaborate with the MDT to develop and review individual care plans, ensuring psychological needs are integrated across the pathway
- Monitor therapeutic progress and adapt interventions in response to clinical presentation and service user feedback
- Manage risk appropriately, escalating safeguarding or mental health concerns in line with DDM Health policies and local protocols
- Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation in line with professional standards and service requirements
Pathway Development
- Contribute to the ongoing development of the emotional eating and binge eating pathway, drawing on current evidence and clinical experience
- Support quality improvement initiatives within the service, including outcome data collection and reporting
- Participate in case discussions, clinical supervision, and MDT meetings as required
- Provide brief consultation or guidance to non-clinical colleagues on psychological aspects of weight management where appropriate
Professional Standards
- Maintain registration with your relevant professional body (BACP, UKCP, BPS or equivalent) and adhere to their ethical framework
- Maintain appropriate professional indemnity insurance
- Engage in regular clinical supervision and continuing professional development (CPD)
- Adhere to DDM Health's policies, including information governance, safeguarding and equality and diversity

- Strong assessment and formulation skills
- Experience of working within or alongside MDT and/or health settings
- Ability to work independently and manage own caseload with appropriate supervision structures in place
- Strong written communication skills for clinical documentation and correspondence
- Comfortable working within an NHS-commissioned service framework, including outcome measurement and reporting
