Forklift Driver / Yard Operative – Builders Merchant
New Southgate
£27,625 – £32,045 per annum
Working Hours: 5-day working week (Monday–Friday) with multiple shift options + every other Saturday
Forklift Experience Required – Immediate Start Available!
Main Responsibilities:
- Loading and unloading delivery vehicles safely and efficiently
- Picking, packing, and preparing customer orders accurately
- Transporting, organising, and storing goods in correct yard/warehouse locations
- Assisting customers with collections and deliveries
- Replenishing stock as required
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised yard environment
- Delivering consistently high levels of customer service
Experience & Skills Required:
- Proven experience operating Counterbalance and Reach forklifts (essential)
- Previous experience within a Builders Merchant or similar environment preferred
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced setting
- Strong communication skills (fluent written and spoken English)
- Self-motivated with a proactive and positive attitude
- Reliable team player who can also work independently when required
