Process Improvement Lead
We are working for south Hereford based manufacturer on a full-time permanent basis for a Process Improvement Lead. This role will focus on driving operational excellence through structured process improvement, quality enhancement, and safety optimisation. The successful individual will work closely with production and operational teams to embed disciplined, data-led improvement methodologies across manufacturing processes.
What You Can Expect
- Full time Permanent basis, site based
- Salary - £40’000 per annum
- Monday to Friday - Office hours – 37.5 hours per week
- 22 days plus bank holidays, increasing by length of service
What You Will Be Doing
- Leading manufacturing improvement initiatives to reduce process variation through standardisation and procedural control
- Driving continuous improvement programmes focused on quality performance, safety and customer satisfaction
- Supporting manufacturing teams in implementing improved and standardised processes across operations
- Developing, maintaining and analysing manufacturing performance metrics to identify improvement opportunities
- Applying Lean Six Sigma and continuous improvement methodologies to deliver measurable operational change
- Leading advanced problem-solving activities and supporting root cause analysis of process non-conformance
- Delivering training and coaching to embed process compliance and improvement capability within teams
- Managing the introduction of new products into manufacturing, ensuring smooth transition from design to production
- Working with data visualisation and process mapping tools to support decision-making and improvement planning
What We Are Looking For
- Proven industrial experience in delivering technical and process improvement solutions within manufacturing
- Strong working knowledge of Lean Six Sigma or equivalent continuous improvement methodologies (Green Belt level desirable)
- Understanding of ISO and BSI quality systems and manufacturing compliance frameworks
- Demonstrable ability to analyse data, solve complex problems and implement sustainable change
- Experience in project or change management, ideally PRINCE2 qualified or equivalent
- ILM Level 5 qualification or equivalent leadership development background
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage across all levels of the organisation
- Confident, structured and professional approach to communication (including telephone and stakeholder interaction)
- Proficiency in project management tools and data visualisation/process mapping software
- A proactive, disciplined and improvement-focused mindset
