Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Store Manager for our busy prom and bridesmaids store in the city centre.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining the store’s overall performance. Duties
- Lead and supervise store staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high levels of motivation and productivity.
- Manage daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, stock control, and merchandising.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to meet targets, optimise sales opportunities, and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Oversee inventory management, including stock replenishment, ordering, and loss prevention measures.
- Ensure excellent customer service by maintaining high standards of communication, including phone etiquette and personalised assistance.
- Organise staff schedules, assign tasks efficiently, and monitor performance through regular feedback sessions.
- Conduct staff training programmes focused on sales techniques, product knowledge, organisational skills, and organisational policies.
- Analyse sales data and prepare reports for senior management to inform strategic decisions.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Foster a positive team environment through effective leadership and organisational skills.
Requirements
- Proven management experience within retail or similar environments, with a strong background in supervising teams.
- Demonstrable leadership qualities with excellent communication skills in English
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively across multiple priorities.
- Experience in merchandising, sales management, and administrative functions within a retail setting.
- Exceptional phone etiquette combined with professional interpersonal skills for engaging with customers and staff alike.
- Ability to motivate teams through effective supervision, coaching, and organisational strategies.
- Proficiency in using retail management software or relevant administrative tools.
- Organised individual capable of handling multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
