Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Multi-Trade Maintenance Specialist & Mentor to join our team. We are looking for a skilled, all-round property maintenance person who can "turn their hand to anything." We look after a diverse portfolio, including a historic Grade II* listed Manor House and a large portfolio of local rental properties.
This role is absolutely ideal for a seasoned builder or tradesperson (perhaps heading towards retirement) who wants to step away from the stress of quoting and running a business, and instead enjoy a stable, salaried role passing on their skills.
Key Responsibilities:
* General maintenance across plumbing, woodwork, gardening/grounds, and basic electrics (plastering, rendering, and roofing skills are a huge bonus).
* Working alongside and mentoring the owner’s 18-year-old son—teaching him the trades patiently and safely so he can eventually work independently.
* Taking simple "before and after" photos of jobs for company social media.
* Dealing politely and calmly with tenants and local estate agents.
This pivotal role involves delivering expert maintenance across various trades. The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational and communication skills, with a passion for teaching and knowledge sharing. What We Need From You:
* A broad background in general building and maintenance trades.
* A patient, friendly manner and a genuine willingness to teach a young starter.
* A full UK driving licence (essential, as you will be the insured driver of the company van).
