Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Truck Driver to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving, particularly with TIPPER vehicles, and a strong commitment to safety and efficiency. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the highest standards of professionalism.
Duties
- Operate TIPPER lorries safely and efficiently to transport goods to designated locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe working condition.
- Plan routes effectively to ensure timely delivery while adhering to traffic regulations.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring that all items are secured properly for transport.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery notes and vehicle logs.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise during transit.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, as well as local, state, and federal regulations related to transportation.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driving licence (CPC) with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred.
- Familiarity with flatbed lorry operations is highly advantageous.
- Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices for transporting goods.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with clients and team members.
