Job Summary
Hyde Accountancy is a growing UK accountancy practice based in Harlow, providing accounting, tax and business advisory services to a wide range of clients including SMEs, property investors and international businesses.
Due to business growth, we are looking for an experienced Mandarin speaking accountant to join our team.
Duties
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, or similar platforms.
- Prepare statutory accounts for limited companies
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure all transactions are correctly recorded.
- Handle VAT returns
- Prepare self assessment tax returns
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and internal policies.
- Mentor junior team members and provide guidance on financial procedures.
- Liaise with HMRC and Companies House
- Support clients with accounting and tax related queries
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information at all times.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Accountant within a financial services environment or similar sector.
- Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or equivalent systems.
- Good knowledge of UK accounting and tax compliance
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience preparing limited company accounts
- Mandarin speaking is desirable but not essential.
- Effective mentoring skills with the ability to support team development.
- Relevant qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent are highly desirable.
