Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Family Support Worker to provide essential assistance and guidance to families within our community. Responsibilities
- Offer emotional support and practical advice to families facing various challenges
- Assist families in accessing community resources and services
- Support children’s development through organised activities and programmes
- Conduct home visits to assess family needs and provide tailored support plans
- Facilitate communication between families, schools, healthcare providers, and social services
- Promote positive parenting techniques and behaviours
- Maintain accurate records of interactions, progress, and interventions
- Attend team meetings and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge
Qualifications
- Experience working with children is highly desirable
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Empathy, patience, and a non-judgemental attitude
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Organised with good time management skills
- Relevant qualifications in social work, childcare, or related fields are advantageous but not essential
- Valid UK driving licence and access to a car is necessary
- Enhanced DBS is required for this role
