We are seeking reliable and experienced HGV C2 Drivers for a client in the Leeds area. You will be responsible for transporting goods and materials to various locations throughout the UK.
Start times will be around 0230 Monday to Friday
Duties:
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport goods to specified destination
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment where necessary
- Follow delivery schedules
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and perform basic maintenance tasks prior to starting shift
- Communicate with dispatchers, customers and team members regarding delivery status
- Complete necessary paperwork, such as delivery receipts, POD's and logbooks
Qualifications:
- Valid HGV C2 Licence and necessary cards
- Proven experience as a truck driver
- No more than 6 points / No DD or DR
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws and regulations
- Excellent time management skills to ensure on-time deliveries
- Able to start around 0230 Monday to Friday
- Strong communication skills
Rates:
Hourly pay rates -
- £13.66 for PAYE
- £15.41 for PAYE with holiday pay included
