Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Educator to join our childcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children, supporting their developmental needs through engaging activities and personalised care. Applicants should have relevant nursery experience and a strong commitment to early childhood education.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children at all times in accordance with safeguarding policies
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily activities
- Support children's individual needs, including behavioural management and personalised care plans
- Assist in organising daily routines such as meal times, nap times, and outdoor play
- Lead by example in promoting good behaviour and social skills among children
- Collaborate with team members to develop innovative educational programmes
- Contribute to the organisation of staff rotas and management tasks as required
- Drive organisational initiatives that enhance the quality of childcare services
Skills
- Proven experience in childcare or nursery settings, with a strong understanding of early childhood education principles
- Demonstrated management and leadership capabilities within a childcare environment
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Ability to work effectively with children, fostering their development through engaging activities
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently
- Childcare qualifications recognised within the UK (e.g., Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification) or equivalent
- A caring nature combined with patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for working with young children
