Are you a strategic leader with a sharp eye for finance and operations? We are currently representing a well-established secondary school in Liverpool seeking a highly skilled School Business Manager to lead their non-academic operations starting this September.
As a vital member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), you will be responsible for the business management of the school, including financial resource management, ICT, health and safety, and human resources. The Role
- Financial Oversight: Prepare and monitor the annual budget, ensure statutory financial reporting is met, and maximize income through grant applications and lettings.
- Human Resources: Manage staff contracts, payroll liaison, and recruitment processes, ensuring compliance with employment law and safeguarding.
- Premises & Estates: Oversee the site management team to ensure the school environment is safe, clean, and conducive to learning.
- Strategic Planning: Contribute to the School Development Plan, providing data-driven insights to support long-term goals.
Requirements
- Proven experience in business management, ideally within an educational setting.
- A professional qualification such as a Diploma in School Business Management (DSBM) or a degree in Finance/Business.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to present complex financial data to non-specialists.
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.
