Job Overview
We are looking for a skilled Sous Chef to join our team in forward thinking and dynamic kitchen. The ideal candidate will assist the Head Chef in food preparation and menu planning, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring the smooth running of the kitchen on the Head Chefs days off.
Responsibilities
- Oversee food production and maintain high standards of food quality
- Assist in creating menus and developing new dishes
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and training as needed
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and kitchen cleanliness standards
- Collaborate with the Head Chef to manage inventory and control costs
Experience
- Must be at least a chef de partie level within a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Strong culinary skills with knowledge of food preparation techniques
- Leadership abilities to motivate and guide kitchen staff effectively
- Familiarity with restaurant kitchen procedures and equipment
