An excellent opportunity has arisen at our Tadworth/Epsom branches for a full/part-time dental nurse, with 'long-term' in mind, to join our modern bustling mixed NHS/ PVT dental practice.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about patient care with a great chairside manner and the ability to interact with patients in a friendly and professional manner. You must be an intelligent, positive, hard-working and flexible team player who is motivated and happy to work in a fast-paced environment and willing to go above and beyond for every customer to deliver outstanding patient care. You should be proficient in written/spoken English, computer literate and be able to chart. You will carry out nursing duties for general dentistry, endodontics and cosmetic treatments.
Duties
- Assist the dentist during examinations and treatment procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared in advance.
- Provide excellent patient care by ensuring patients feel comfortable and informed throughout their visit.
- Maintain accurate patient records and assist with administrative tasks as required, including appointment scheduling and managing patient inquiries.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including high standards on infection control protocols.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Collaborate effectively with the dental team to ensure a smooth workflow within the practice.
- Utilise IT systems for record keeping and appointment management efficiently.
- Amongst other day to day tasks which will be included in your training.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Dental Nurse is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- A strong understanding of patient care principles is crucial, along with proficiency in English for effective communication with patients and team members.
- Demonstrated nursing skills, particularly in a dental or healthcare setting, will be advantageous.
- Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong IT skills for managing digital records and utilising practice management software effectively.
