Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Children's Residential Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing assistance and support to Children and Young People aged between 5-17 with emotional and behavioural difficulties, ensuring their well-being and helping them achieve their personal goals. This position requires a proactive approach to care, effective communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with the team and other professionals.
Responsibilities
- Provide day to day support to Children and Young People in a Residential care setting.
- Support in daily activities, social interaction, and educational engagement.
- Assist children with special/behaviour needs in developing life skills through structured activities and guidance.
- Build positive relationships with Children and Young People, promoting their emotional, social, and physical wellbeing.
- Maintain accurate records of progress and any changes in behaviour or health.
- Collaborate with families, educators, and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive support for each child/ young person.
- Drive to various locations as required.
- Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes effectively.
Skills
- Experience working with Children and Young People preferred but not essential.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage with children and their families positively.
- Ability to drive is essential for transporting children as needed.
- Clean DBS
- Over the age of 22
- A compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of others.

Pay: £12.21-£13.50 per hour
