We are a premier CQC-regulated complex care company providing at-home nursing and complex care services for all ages.
We have nearly 100 staff of healthcare assistants who are all shift workers, and do shifts of a minimum of 5 hours and a maximum of 12 hours. Payroll is Processed weekly. Invoices to clients are also sent weekly.
This role has typically taken 3 days a week. It is part-time with the annual figures pro-ratad but has the option to be full time with the management accounting element.
Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Payroll & Accounts Manager to oversee the company's payroll and financial accounting functions.
The successful candidate will have strong attention to detail and takes pride in their work, looking to optimise and streamline processes.
You will be responsible for managing payroll processing, maintaining accurate financial records, reporting to the Board with management accounting details and metrics, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing using systems such as Nourish and Xero
- Ensure accurate data entry related to employee hours, deductions, and benefits.
- Oversee accounts payable functions, including invoice processing and vendor payments via accounting software like Xero
- Reconcile financial transactions and maintain precise records for audit purposes.
- Analyse payroll data to identify discrepancies or irregularities and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with human resources to ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies.
- Generate detailed reports on payroll and financial activities for management review.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information at all times.
Experience
- Proven experience in payroll management and accounts administration within a similar organisation.
- Proficiency in using payroll systems in the healthcare sector such as Nourish
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and experience with accounting software is essential.
- Demonstrable data entry skills with high accuracy levels.
- Experience handling accounts payable processes and financial reconciliation tasks.
- Excellent analysis skills to interpret complex data sets effectively.
