Reporting directly to the CEO and Board, you will play a central role in shaping the future direction of the business, providing strategic financial leadership while ensuring robust governance, risk management, and commercial performance.
The Role
As CFO / Finance Director, you will:
- Lead the financial strategy of a growing and dynamic organisation
- Drive business performance through insightful financial planning and analysis
- Prepare the business for future capital market opportunities, including IPO readiness and investor engagement
- Support strategic acquisitions, funding initiatives, and growth projects
- Provide leadership across finance, treasury, reporting, compliance, and risk management
- Partner closely with operational and commercial teams to maximise profitability and efficiency
- Build strong relationships with shareholders, lenders, advisers, auditors, and other key stakeholders
- Deliver Board-level reporting and strategic recommendations
Essential Requirements
We are specifically seeking candidates who can demonstrate:
- Full professional qualification (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) – essential
- Significant experience at CFO, Finance Director, or equivalent senior finance leadership level
- Proven involvement in IPO preparation, transaction processes, or publicly listed environments
- Strong understanding of the new-build housing, residential development, or wider construction sector
- Experience managing growth, funding, cashflow, and capital allocation within a project-based business
- Outstanding commercial acumen and strategic leadership capability
- Strong stakeholder management skills with Board-level credibility
