We are a supplier of high quality, multiple award winning convenience meat products to both the retail, food service and manufacturing sectors in North and South Wales. We are a well-established business spanning 30 years and have built a strong brand and reputation for quality products produced to a consistently high standard
Due to ongoing expansion we are now looking to strengthen our manufacturing Hygiene team by recruiting a a Hygiene Operative. Hours of work : 2.00pm until 10.00pm over 5 days per week.
Objectives:-
- To maintain the existing hygiene standards within the Production areas of the business.
- To set and maintain hygiene standards within the utility areas of the site.
- To ensure all additional cleaning requirements are carried out in line with Food Hygiene standards.
- To maintain the Company's Health and Safety standards.
- To maintain overall factory efficiency and waste
- To comply with the site policies for food safety and quality and with the requirements of BRC.
- To work as part of a well-functioning team.
Main Tasks & Responsibilities
Production Hygiene
- To carry out daily cleaning of all production areas in line with Food Hygiene standards and as designated by Shift Manager.
- To complete any additional cleaning requirements as outlined by Shift Manager.
- Adhere to all site SOPs where relevant to tasks being carried out.
- Awareness of allergens and species cross contamination risks.
- Report any incidents or conditions which may adversely affect product safety, quality or legality.
Utility Areas
- To carry out cleaning of all utility areas as outlined in SOPs 2 days per week.
Site Technical Standards
- Ensure completion of required documentation in full.
- Report any deviations from tolerances.
- Comply with the site food safety and quality policies and procedures.
Operational Efficiency
- Undertake annual training to ensure that skill sets are maintained.
- Reduce waste wherever possible.
Health & Safety
- To be aware and compliant with health and safety regulations as per company procedures.
Criteria & Qualifications
Prior experience
- Experience in production of multi-product BRC Grade food factory desirable.
- Experience within the meat/chilled/frozen food/retail industry desirable.
Competency & Skills
- Strong organisational skills
- Good internal communication skills
- Aptitude for Creative thinking & Problem solving
Qualifications
- Food hygiene qualification desirable

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £12.71-£13.14 per hour
