Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Part-time Barista/Waitress to join our vibrant team. This role involves preparing and serving beverages, providing excellent customer service, and assisting with food preparation in a welcoming environment. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering a positive experience to our customers and capable of managing multiple tasks with professionalism and enthusiasm. Flexibility to work during busy periods, including weekends, is preferred.
Duties
- Prepare a variety of hot and cold beverages in accordance with company standards, ensuring quality and presentation.
- Serve food and drinks to customers in a courteous and timely manner.
- Take customer orders accurately, process payments, and handle cash or card transactions efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the service area, including cleaning equipment and utensils regularly.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks as needed, adhering to food safety standards.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers politely and addressing any queries or concerns promptly.
- Manage multiple tables or orders simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Follow health and safety guidelines diligently, ensuring a safe environment for both staff and customers.
Experience
- Knowledge of food safety regulations is advantageous.
- Experience in serving or hospitality roles demonstrates strong customer service skills.
- Basic maths skills are necessary for handling transactions accurately.
- Good time management skills are essential to ensure prompt service during busy periods.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a friendly demeanour is highly valued.
