Experienced Turner Looking for a Secure Long-Term Role?
We're recruiting for an experienced Proturn / Manual Turner to join a well-established engineering business in Bradford.
This is a varied role working within a busy jobbing shop environment, manufacturing one-off and small batch components, carrying out repair work and producing parts from drawings, sketches and customer samples.
The company supports customers across a wide range of industries and offers a mix of routine engineering work and urgent repair requirements, ensuring no two days are the same.
The Role
- Operating XYZ Proturn and conventional turning machines
- Manufacturing one-off and small batch components
- Producing parts from engineering drawings, sketches and customer samples
- Carrying out repair and refurbishment work
- Working to tight tolerances and customer deadlines
- Supporting breakdown and urgent repair requirements when required
- Working across a variety of light to medium engineering projects
What We're Looking For
- Time-served engineer or equivalent machining experience
- Strong background in both XYZ Proturn and conventional turning
- Previous experience within a jobbing shop environment
- Ability to manufacture components from drawings, sketches and samples
- Experience carrying out repair and breakdown work
- Ability to work independently and manage varied workloads
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards
