Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Production Operative to join our manufacturing team on a part-time basis (5pm-10pm Mon-Fri), on a 12 week temp to perm contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the production process by feeding materials onto the production line, carrying out quality checks, handling finished products, and preparing goods for dispatch.
Duties
- Feed wooden components onto the production line in a safe and efficient manner.
- Conduct visual quality inspections to ensure products have been sanded and painted to the required standard.
- Remove finished products from the production line and place them onto drying racks.
- Identify and report any defects or quality concerns to the relevant supervisor.
- Pack finished products securely and accurately in line with customer requirements.
- Prepare orders for dispatch, ensuring correct quantities and packaging standards are met.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
- Follow all company health and safety procedures at all times.
- Assist with other production and warehouse duties as required.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in a production, manufacturing, or warehouse environment is desirable but not essential.
- Good attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable, punctual, and hardworking.
- Physically fit and capable of handling manual tasks.
- Good communication skills.
This role would suit individuals with experience within a production or manufacturing environment, that are looking for a part-time evening shift (5pm-10pm Mon-Fri) on a temp to perm contract basis.
Pay: £12.71 per hour
