The Role
Reporting to the Head of Specification, the Business Development Manager will drive new business opportunities and strengthen relationships across the built environment sector.
You will work closely with architects, interior designers, M&E consultants, developers, contractors, and end users to identify opportunities, build pipeline activity, and increase brand presence within the market.
This role is ideal for someone with technical HVAC sales or B2B built environment experience who enjoys networking, relationship building, and developing new business.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with key industry stakeholders
- Engage with Architects, Designers, and M&E Consultants to generate specifications and opportunities
- Identify and qualify new project opportunities
- Manage opportunities through the sales pipeline
- Represent the business at industry events, trade shows, and client presentations
- Support marketing activity through market feedback and industry insight
- Deliver presentations and “Lunch & Learn” sessions
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity
- Maintain strong relationships with existing clients and project teams
Experience
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in technical HVAC sales or B2B business development within the built environment
- Experience working with Architects, Designers, and M&E Consultants is essential
- Experience within commercial office, residential, or hospitality sectors preferred
- High-specification product sales experience advantageous
