Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and organised Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional administrative support, managing patient appointments, and ensuring smooth front-desk operations. The ideal applicant will possess strong office and administrative experience, with a friendly demeanour and excellent communication skills. We are looking for someone to work full time hours 7.30am to 3.30pm Monday to Friday.
Responsibilities
- Greeting patients warmly and professionally upon arrival
- Managing patient appointments and scheduling using practice management software
- Answering phone calls promptly and directing enquiries appropriately
- Handling patient check-in and check-out procedures efficiently
- Maintaining accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with data protection regulations
- Processing payments and insurance documentation accurately
- Coordinating with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless clinic operations
- Managing correspondence, including emails and postal mail
- Ensuring the reception area remains tidy, welcoming, and well-stocked with necessary supplies
Experience
- Prior office experience, ideally within a healthcare setting or similar environment
- Proven administrative experience demonstrating organisational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficiency in using office software such as MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) or equivalent practice management systems
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality
