McCarthy & Byrne Solutions Ltd is currently seeking an experienced Groundworker to join a long-term infrastructure project based in Northampton.
This is an excellent opportunity to secure ongoing work with a respected contractor on a busy site, offering consistent hours, weekly pay and the opportunity to work as part of a professional and experienced team.
We're looking for reliable, hardworking Groundworkers who take pride in their work, have a strong understanding of site safety and can work efficiently as part of a team.
About the Role:
You will be involved in a variety of civil engineering and groundworks activities, supporting the successful delivery of the project while maintaining high standards of workmanship and health and safety.
Duties will include:
- Drainage installation and repairs
- Kerbing and edging
- Flagging and paving
- Foundation preparation
- Excavation and reinstatement
- General groundworks
- Operating plant and equipment where authorised
- Working safely around live construction activities
- Assisting other trades and the site management team when required
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment
Essential Requirements:
Applicants must have:
- Valid CSCS Card
- UKPIA SPA Passport (Essential)
- Previous experience in all aspects of groundworks
- Full PPE
- Right to work in the UK
- Excellent awareness of site health and safety
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, punctual and committed to delivering high-quality work
Desirable:
- CPCS or NPORS Plant Tickets
- Experience working on civil engineering, utilities or infrastructure projects
- Additional site qualifications or certifications
