As a Nursery Assistant, you will play an important role in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children aged 0–5 years can learn, play, and develop.
The Role
- Support the day-to-day care and supervision of children aged 0–5.
- Assist in delivering fun, engaging, and age-appropriate activities in line with the EYFS framework.
- Encourage children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development through play.
- Support daily routines, including mealtimes, personal care, and outdoor activities.
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming nursery environment.
- Work collaboratively with nursery staff and build positive relationships with children and parents.
- Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and nursery policies at all times.
What Excell Supply is Looking For
- Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting is desirable but not essential.
- A Level 2 or Level 3 Childcare qualification is advantageous but not essential.
- A genuine passion for working with young children.
- A caring, patient, and positive attitude.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
- The right to work in the UK.
