Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) Manager
Salary: circa £50,000 per annum, subject to qualifications and experience

About the Role
As our PBS Manager, you will lead the delivery of our Positive Behaviour Support strategy across all regions. You’ll provide expert guidance to teams, develop high-quality PBS plans, and ensure best practices are embedded across our Supported Living services.
This is a highly influential role where you’ll coach leaders, design and deliver bespoke training, and use data and evidence-based practice to improve outcomes for the people we support. You’ll work collaboratively with Registered Managers, families, and professionals to ensure support is proactive and focused on reducing restrictive practices.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives on improving practice, developing others, and driving meaningful organisational change.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership & Strategy
- Lead the development, implementation, and review of the PBS strategy
- Champion best practice and embed a positive, person-centred culture
- Contribute to organisational growth and continuous improvement
Coaching & Practice Development
- Coach and mentor Managers, Team Leaders, and support teams
- Develop PBS coaches and Practice Leaders across services
- Provide post-incident support and action planning
Training & Workforce Development
- Design and deliver bespoke training in PBS, autism, and person-centred support
- Deliver NAPPI training in line with BILD ACT and RRN standards
- Support induction and ongoing learning across services
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure PBS principles are embedded in support planning, risk management, and incident review
- Monitor restrictive practices and lead restraint reduction initiatives
- Maintain compliance with BILD, RRN, and best practice standards
Partnership Working
- Build strong relationships with families, professionals, and stakeholders
- Support family engagement and co-production initiatives
- Collaborate with Registered Managers on PBS-related matters
Assessment & Support Planning
- Oversee functional behaviour assessments and PBS plan development
- Support transitions and assessments for new people we support
- Use data analysis to identify trends and improve practice
About You
- Proven experience in Positive Behaviour Support within health and social care
- Experience supporting autistic adults, people with learning disabilities and mental health needs
- Sound understanding of complex care and supporting people with enhanced support needs and behaviours of concern
- PBS qualification (essential); MSc, ABA, or UK-SBA aligned qualification (desirable)
- Confident coach and mentor with a collaborative leadership style
- Knowledge of BILD ACT, RRN standards, and the least restrictive practice
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to use data to drive improvements
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
