KH Resourcing are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Credit Controller to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing outstanding accounts, ensuring timely payments, and maintaining strong client relationships. Shift: 8am-5pm
Pay: 29k a year
Contract: perm (6 months - will be extended for right candidate)
Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage overdue accounts to ensure timely collection of payments
- Contact clients via phone, email, or letter to follow up on outstanding invoices
- Maintain accurate records of all communications and payment activities using accounting software
- Analyse account data to identify trends or issues affecting receivables
- Collaborate with the sales and customer service teams to resolve billing discrepancies
- Prepare reports on debt recovery progress and outstanding balances for management review
- Assist with data entry related to payments received and account updates
- Utilise telemarketing skills to engage clients professionally and effectively in payment discussions
- Ensure adherence to company policies regarding credit control procedures
Requirements
- Proven experience in credit control, accounts payable, or related financial roles
- Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret financial data accurately
- Proficiency in accounting software and data entry systems
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills, with a professional manner
- Experience in financial services or similar industry preferred
- Ability to organise workload efficiently and prioritise tasks effectively
- Knowledge of telemarketing techniques beneficial but not essential
- Attention to detail and organisational skills are crucial for success in this role
