Robertson Recruitment are working with a market-leading supplier of recycling machinery and equipment, serving customers across the UK and internationally. Due to continued growth, they are looking for a skilled and motivated maintenance service engineer to join our expanding engineering team.
As a maintenance service engineer, you will be responsible for attending customer sites to install, service, maintain, and repair recycling machinery, ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently. For the first three months you will be working from the home site in Nottingham and then travel across the UK after that.
Working hours:
Flexible working hours.
Candidates can start from 6am.
No night shifts.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation and commissioning of recycling machinery and equipment.
- Planned preventative maintenance and routine servicing.
- Fault finding, diagnostics, and breakdown repairs.
- Mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical troubleshooting.
- Providing technical support and training to customers when required.
- Completing service reports and documentation accurately.
- Ensuring all work is carried out safely and in accordance with company procedures.
- Travelling throughout the UK with occasional overnight stays.
Responsibilities
- Previous experience as a Service Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, Field Service Engineer, or similar role.
- Strong mechanical fault-finding skills.
- Knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
