Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Assistant to join our team. Duties
- Assist with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and mobility support
- Support clients with daily activities in accordance with personalised care plans
- Monitor and record health conditions and report any concerns to senior staff
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients at all times
- Administer medication as directed by healthcare professionals
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure holistic care
- Use IT systems to update records and document care provided accurately
- Drive to clients’ homes or care facilities as required for home care visits
- Promote independence and dignity of clients through respectful interactions
Experience
- Previous experience working within a care home or home care environment is advantageous but not essential; full training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Basic knowledge of care plans and health monitoring procedures is desirable
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, is essential for effective communication
- Familiarity with IT systems used in healthcare settings will be beneficial
- Valid driving licence preferred to support travel between locations
- Excellent communication skills are vital for building trust and rapport with clients and team members
