Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Male Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential care and support to individuals in need, ensuring their comfort and well-being. This role is vital in supporting clients with various needs, including those with Autism, Learning disability and Mental Health care. As a Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients through personalised care and support.
Duties
- Provide compassionate support to clients in their daily activities, ensuring their dignity and independence are maintained.
- Assist with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering positive relationships.
- Help clients with mobility and physical activities, including heavy lifting when necessary.
- Administer first aid as required and assist with medication management under the guidance of healthcare professionals.
- Implement behaviour management strategies for clients with specific needs or challenges.
- Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes in condition to the appropriate personnel.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualised care plans tailored to each client's needs.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for clients by adhering to health and safety regulations.

Qualifications
- Previous experience in supported living, care home or home care is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of Autism, Learning disability and mental Health care practices is advantageous.
- Relevant qualifications in healthcare or social work are preferred but not essential.
- Mandatory care certification is highly desirable.
- Acquired brain injury training certification is advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and their families.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by client needs.
- First aid certification is preferred; training may be provided for the right candidate.
- A caring attitude with a commitment to providing high-quality support services.
