About the Company
Our client is a well-established fire protection business with almost 30 years’ experience in the industry. They support a wide range of commercial clients, FM companies and fire industry trade users across the UK and Europe, delivering service, maintenance and remedial works on fixed fire suppression systems.
They work across a varied client base, including restaurants, hotels, sports stadiums, prisons, banking sites and other commercial environments.
The Role
We are looking for a Fire Suppression Engineer to join an experienced engineering team. This is a field-based role covering pre-booked service, maintenance and remedial work on fire suppression equipment.
The role will involve national travel, so flexibility to work away from home when required is essential. Full training and support will be provided where needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Service and maintain Ansul fire suppression systems.
- Service gaseous fire suppression systems, both mechanically and electrically.
- Carry out room integrity testing.
- Service portable fire extinguishers.
- Complete remedial works on fire suppression equipment.
- Attend call-outs when required.
- Work independently on customer sites.
- Build strong working relationships with clients and site contacts.
- Complete work to a high standard while following company procedures and safety requirements.
- Represent the business professionally while on site.
Requirements
- Previous experience working on fire suppression systems and portable extinguishers.
- Experience maintaining Ansul R102 kitchen systems is essential.
- Mechanical and/or electrical knowledge would be advantageous.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Confident working independently and solving problems on site.
- Smart appearance and professional communication skills.
- Flexible approach to working hours and working away from home when required.
- Full clean UK driving licence.
